Wild Roses Antique Sterling Silver Spoon 7x5 inches oil on panel that's me in the reflection

Wild Roses Antique Sterling Silver Spoon
7x5 inches / oil on panel
SOLD
Another antique spoon from my Silver Series, here featuring charming wild roses.  As I had this spoon propped up on my easel while I was painting, you'll see me depicted (wearing a pair eyeglasses) in the reflection.  Thought I'd use this "Little Gem" to warm up for my next silver spoon painting which is larger than life at 12x16 inches.  I'm particularly excited about that one since painting larger, I'll be able to comfortably incorporate even more detail.

This is beautiful! I love the reflection of what looks like an old woman. Very clever. I shall have to try that sometime...

Oh, thank you SO much! I'm laughing because the old woman you so astutely observed, is ME...but I'm only 53! LOL I had the spoon propped on my easel while I painted. Often you'll see me with the camera lens in front of me or images of my red dining room with paintings or even my PC and painting over my desk in my studio. Check out my other silver spoons paintings to see! :o)

Oooppps...hehehe...:)
I think I'm going to try my hand at painting polished silver, and at 50, I think my reflection will look rather old-lady-ish! (Maybe it's just that the spoon reminded me of my grandma, lol.)

...and, I did check out your other reflections--err, paintings. They are wonderful and really get me enthused to try a few new things...
