Cheerful cherries punctuate an equally vivid Spode Blue Italian bowl. Although cracked severely, it is still treasured for it’s beautiful bucolic scene depicted in this 18th century transferware pattern.

It is hard to believe that all that richness of color, shading, depth and detail is all contained in a miniature 4 x 4 inch painting. WOW! Really beautiful, Jeanne.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, Joanne! I love this size because I can really dote on my subjects, this being a favorite combination. Thanks again! Jeanne

Thank you, Don! Sometimes I go for the more muted, serene palette, and periodically I inject a little "bang" in my work! I appreciate your comments! Jeanne

Oh thank you very much, Olga! I always love to add a touch of age to my work such as the cracked porcelain; I think it adds more interest.
