I just adore painting roses in a glass jar.  There's something so clean and simple about a jelly jar with a single bloom or nosegay…almost reminiscent of childhood in simpler times when I'd pluck a few precious blooms from the woods or garden to present to my Mother who was invariably in the kitchen with a jar handy for displaying my gift.  Plus…painting those reflections and distortions created within the water is just plain old FUN!!
