soul and purpose

"Through my paintings I hope to communicate a personal enthusiasm and respect for the natural world, thus encourage in others an active stewardship of same." -- JEANNE ILLENYE

Looking ahead in 2011

Resolutions 2011
Here's an example of some past work.  This year I'll be moving in a lighter, brighter direction with the fruition of lots of fresh ideas that have been waiting in the wings while fulfilling commissioned orders in recent years.  Rather than tip my hand, I'll just invite you to check back periodically to see what's on my easel.  I'll be adding a new chapter on my website, as well.  Please join me as I continue my artistic journey . . .

Thank you SO very much, Ladies! I really want to bring a lighter, fresher look to my work. It's been a few years of trying to think outside my comfort zone of deep, rich earth tones, but I think this year I'm truly ready! :o)

Hi Jeanne, Just wanted to say, I love your redesigned blog. It is so bright and cheerful! It looks great. Well done. *hugs*

Thank you SO much, Mo! Redesigning my blog is like clearing my head from all the lingering old world style of painting. I follow TONS of decorating blogs, most of which feature trendy pure white, which is so invigorating. My home is actually shades of taupe and beige with 18th C style mahongany but I absolutely adore white painted antques...a hint of things to come! :o) Lovely to hear from you!
