This vividly detailed oil painting features a voluptuous arrangement of fruit with focus on the orange that appears to have burst open, it's juices dripping.  To further enhance the composition, fresh plucked grapes, a torn branch of cherries with one sliced open, strawberries with blossoms in various stages of ripening, and a lemon half with shiny leaves, seeds and more!

Thank you SO much, Suz! I've been working away from classical painting and toward the more contemporary style of realism, but with so many inquiries today already, I'm wondering if I shouldn't abandon this style yet...? I'm still trying to catch up on all my pet portrait orders before I can get back to my beloved still lifes. Will pop over to your blog to see the latest on your group challenge! Thank you for your lovely comments. Jeanne

Thank you SO much, Catherine! There's always something so intriguing about peeled oranges that many artists have painted them repeatedly as I have, too! They're just a fabulous subject...and delicious reward after the painting is done! :o) Jeanne
