The theme this month in my new group was music, and being that my studio overlooks the garden and fruit trees full of birds, my immediate thought was a nest . . . afterall, what more perfect music is there than Nature's melodies!

Your compositions are so wonderful. I love the little clusters of three in every piece. They are so good! I am so inspired after I see your work. These little eggs on the sheet music are exquisite.

Thank you SO much, Katherine! I almost always use three eggs as the odd numbers are best compositionally, as you undoubtedly know. Whenever I'd crop images of my large, abundant still lifes to show the zoom details, I found the compositions irresistible and began creating small paintings which generated that same visual tension. Thank you for your lovely comments! Jeanne
