soul and purpose

"Through my paintings I hope to communicate a personal enthusiasm and respect for the natural world, thus encourage in others an active stewardship of same." -- JEANNE ILLENYE

BLUE WEDGWOOD CHINA WITH PEARS (SOLD)

SOLD
Oil on panel 5 x 3.5 inches, framed dimensions 6 x 4.5 inches
A true miniature, this must be the smallest subject I’ve ever completed. To paint those pears only 1/4 inch in size was indeed challenging! The muted tones of this painting create a uniquely serene effect.

This is wonderful, Jeanne! I really hope you are going to do more miniatures. And the frame sets it off beautifully.

Thank you, Tracy! For a year now I've actually been trying to get away from the miniatures (I now need glasses...turning 50 next week after Christmas) but if enough interest I will continue. Thank you, I also felt this frame was complimentary to the delicacy of this piece.

Jeanne, I love this painting!

I purchased a lone pear from you earlier in the year and this miniature would have been the perfect compliment.

If you decide to paint another miniature of this subject matter, I'm definitely interested.

Thanks for your beautiful work!
