REFLECTIONS OF QUEEN ANNE CHERRIES (SOLD)

SOLD

5x7 oil on panel

Enhanced by a uniquely exciting approach to lighting my subject as well as the incorporation of a somewhat cooler background, a perfect foil was created for accentuating the naturally intense brilliance of these Queen Anne cherries.

Beautiful still life painting, Jeanne! Excellent job.

I love it that your name rhymes... it's catchy!

Thank you, Diana! This was particularly fun to paint with all those dramatic shadows and reflections. The subtleties of the cherries were a joy! Also, glad you like the euphonious quality of my name, although rather tough for people to spell, it's easily recognizable. :O) Thanks again, Diana!! Jeanne

Thank you, Don, for your comments in particular about the negative space above the cherries. I felt it gave some more visual weight to those little beauties and emphasized their pungent hue. Thanks, Jeanne
