Old fashioned Hollyhocks and English roses, plump buds that truly appeared dimensional as I painted them on the canvas, bruised and torn leaves, several delicate butterflies and hovering bees with a sprinkling of dewdrops all arranged in a cracked Oriental bowl amidst tender Raspberries and a pair of Bluebirds which symbolize happiness, compose this exquisitely bountiful still life within a traditional setting.
