Thank you, Jacqui Faye! While I have been working more toward contemporary realism, occasionally I will paint something such as this Victorian posy which harkens back to my familiar classical style. I appreciate your compliment! Jeanne
Thank you, Jenedy! Yes, this as well as all my small paintings, take a minimum of several days to paint. Using oils of course requires more time than any other medium, and with the level of detail I include in my work the process can take quite a considerable amount of time, indeed. (My "days" are up to 12-14 hrs. at the easel.) Thank you again for your comment and inquiry. Jeanne
It's a striking painting, Jeanne. I really like the subject matter, your arrangement and your technique. Wonderful job you did! It has a charming old look, I think mainly because of the vintage rose variety.
Thank you, Diana! While I've been attempting to heighten my skills in contemporary realism, occasionally I will reintroduce a more familiar and in this case, a romantic subject. Thank you for your comments and observations! Jeanne
