Painting neatly does become more challenging while working on the very large canvases, as I'm sure you know. It is my hope to stretch into a larger format occasionally as I've had several commissions to do them "bigger than life"...then let's see how my studio looks! :OJEANNE ILLENYEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13781450579870189214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2513405656082686321.post-38471670856454776702007-12-21T13:36:00.000-05:002007-12-21T13:36:00.000-05:00Now I've seen everything! I could not sit on those wonderful comfy looking chairs and paint to save my life without getting some splashes of color on them. Especially with kitties helping out with the paint jobs. I love your still lifes and flowers, Jeanne. You appear to be getting better and better and are an inspiration to me with my still lifes. Thank you so much for sharing studio and paintings with us all and me especially. Keep up the great work.<BR/>Now I will have to teach Kitts how to help me paint as well! Our surroundings are so important and a reflection of ourselves, our thoughts and ultimately filtering into our paintings, as you so kindly mentioned.JEANNE ILLENYEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13781450579870189214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2513405656082686321.post-3996527314075574672007-12-20T01:17:00.000-05:002007-12-20T01:17:00.000-05:00Thank you, Brad! In fact, before we got our house, when I was single and living in an apt. in NJ I painted small works on my kitchen table, and for larger works I propped them against the wall and sat right on the floor. (I was alot younger then.) Problem was that my playful kittens would see the brush move and poke a paw back at me from the underside of the stretched canvas! As you know, it does take time to come up with the right plan and the right space for the current work, doesn't it?JEANNE ILLENYEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13781450579870189214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2513405656082686321.post-34031994394040961762007-12-19T21:25:00.000-05:002007-12-19T21:25:00.000-05:00What a beautiful studio Jeanne! - It suits you and...What a beautiful studio Jeanne! - It suits you and your work so well! I have always dreamt of having a huge studio in a barn with exposed beams, hardwood floors and oriental rugs, room to spread out with several easels and have a private entrance for patrons...but alas, only dreams are free! :)JEANNE ILLENYEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13781450579870189214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2513405656082686321.post-51584441513576818022007-12-19T12:30:00.000-05:002007-12-19T12:30:00.000-05:00What a beautiful studio Jeanne. I didn't even have time to really clean up much; as you can see I have lots of paintings in progress at any given moment. Sometimes my studio gets like an obstacle course and even the cats have to tippy-toe to get through the maze. Guess this week it's better than I thought...?JEANNE ILLENYEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13781450579870189214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2513405656082686321.post-78432276738418166382007-12-19T10:29:00.000-05:002007-12-19T10:29:00.000-05:00You must be the neatest artest in the DP.You must be the neatest artest in the DP.Delilahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15187920776450828634noreply@blogger.com
